On Tuesday we wanted to go see more of DC, there is just so much, but frankly we were tired of site seeing and wanted to do something more relaxing. So we found a frisbee golf course and went and played 18 holes. It was a good thing we did because it ended up being in the high 90s that day with humidity and the golf course was under trees mostly so it was pleasant, but had we been walking around the city of DC I think we might have died. After playing disc golf, we went over to my cousin Kristi’s house, who lives in Virginia just outside of DC and only a couple miles from the park where we were. Her and her husband Matt lived in Monterey for a few years while he was attending the Naval Post Graduate School, so it was fun catching up with them since we had not seen them since before they left Monterey (which was several years ago). They now have a 3 year old daughter, Aubrey, and are expecting their second. We had a great time visiting with them and especially with Aubrey, playing in the rain & jumping in puddles, as a good thunderstorm rolled in after the heat of the day, and then later playing dress up with her multi-layered princess dress look. We stayed the night and then got a good start in the morning with showers & breakfast.
