Darien Lake

Phish played at Darien Lake Theme Park last night. The amusement and water parks were open to ticket holders only that day. The park was an incredible back drop to a good, but not great show. This being our 4th show in our run this tour we did not yet expect to hear so many repeat songs. Phish has hundreds of songs in thier repetior and we heard 8 songs repeated... that's almost a whole set. We did however hear several that they play only rarely such as Mello Mood and Buffalo Bill. The encore with Led Zepplin's Good Times Bad Times cover was anticlimatic as they closed with that same song in Michigan. It was probably a blessing in disguise because it made our decision to not go to the next few shows all that much easier. Instead we spent the day today being tourists in upstate New York and went to Niagra Falls and Fort Niagra and are now camping on Lake Ontario at Lakeside Beach State Park. Tomorrow we think we want to head East towards Vermont and make our way North towards Maine. Phish has several more shows this summer including a 3 day festival at Watkins Glen, NY over 4th of July weekend - so we may make it to that, but who knows! Also, Further announced a late summer tour and will be playing at Red Rocks in October, so we definitely want to go to those shows (seeing a show at Red Rocks was our #1 goal this summer).

Darien Lake Show Photos:

The people parked next to us had a huge truck and their nephew climbed on top of the cab to get a view, so Kyle asked him to take some photos for us. Thanks to Kessan Prozzler from the Buffalo, NY area for these next 3 photos:

Our friend Jay took this photo

I like this photo because you can see Page,
the piano player in the band, in the screen
