Today we headed through New Hampshire and into Maine. We kept talking about stopping to fish in one of the many streams and lakes in New Hampshire, but it rained the entire way through the state and we were simply over the rain. We've had 3 straight days of it and that's enough us! We did pass one of the many intersections of the Appalachian Trail, which was a major highlight! The famous trail runs from Georgia all the way to Maine and crosses through a veriety of landscapes, mountains and towns. It's the ultimate backpacker's paradise and if it weren't raining I would have been up to going on an overnight treck - but it was, so I just took some photos. With the hope of out running the rain, we headed towards the coastal towns of Wells and Ogunquit in Maine recommended by both Kyle's Aunt Tootie and my cousin Erin. And sure enough, once we got here we not only found dry weather, but there was even small patches of blue sky! But before we did anything else we found a place to eat fresh Maine lobster... All I can say is YUM! If you like lobster like we do, this is heaven!
New Hampshire - "Live Free or Die" (their state motto)
Maine - "The Way Life Should Be" (I like their motto better personally)
